The uncomfortable bit

Building isn't the bottleneck anymore. Getting customers is.

AI has made it easier than ever to ship software. But it hasn't made distribution any easier. More products are launching and attention is harder to win. Getting your first paying customers is harder than ever.

  1. 01

    You launch.Nobody visits.

  2. 02

    You post.14 likes.

  3. 03

    You cold email.Silence.

  4. 04

    You try paid ads.Money disappears.

You can build the product. You still need distribution.

Who am I?

I’ve made $1,000,000+ selling my own software products.

I am a developer, not a career marketer. These are the products I built, sold and grew. I’ve sold software to customers including Jason Calacanis, Game of Thrones and Van Morrison.

Who is this for?

You're confident building. Uncomfortable selling.

This is for developers, technical founders and product builders who have built, or are building, a product and do not have a reliable way to get customers.

01

You can ship

You already have the technical ability to turn an idea into a working product.

02

You lack distribution

You do not know where to consistently find people with the problem.

03

You want a system

You want practical steps, honest examples and a way to know what to try next.

This probably isn’t for you if…

  • You want to ship as many apps as possible rather than turn one into a business
  • You’re looking for growth hacks or a viral launch formula
  • You want to avoid customer conversations, outreach and selling
  • You already have repeatable acquisition and want to scale it

What you'll achieve.

Get your first paying customers.

This isn't a bag of tactics. You learn how to find customers, understand what they want, and choose the acquisition strategy that fits your business.

Who will pay?

Define who will pay from real pain, urgency and ability to pay, not a vague persona.

Landing pages that convert

Write headlines, proof, offers and CTAs that give the right visitor a reason to act.

Presales

Waitlists are not validation. Learn how to sell before you build so prepaid orders, not email signups, prove people will pay.

Cold email & DMs

Find relevant prospects and write messages that earn replies without sounding like spam.

When to use paid ads

Understand when paid acquisition is worth testing, when it isn't, and how to run a small validation experiment without burning money.

Real examples, not theory

See the real messages, numbers and mistakes.

Every lesson is grounded in examples from products I have built. You will see exactly what I did, what happened next and what I would change now.

  • Cold emails and LinkedIn DMs I actually sent
  • Landing pages, offers and sales conversations
  • Social listening and buying-signal workflows
  • Acquisition channels, content and SEO plays
  • Failed experiments and what I would never do again

Hi Alex,

I saw Nova Conf and wanted to reach out as one local Irish business to another.

Are you open to trying an alternative to your current ticketing provider? We built Get Invited to help organisers earn more from every ticket sale and get paid every 7 days instead of 60. Open to a quick chat on how we can help?

Why it works

Personal context, a clear financial benefit and fast payouts.

Real customer reply
“No problem in using Get Invited instead of Eventbrite. Need to integrate the code of your widget into the sales page at some stage.”

Founders have already used my advice to get results

“Kyle helped me actually launch instead of endlessly reading startup books and listening to podcasts. I went from no app to 35 customers in the first 3 months because he helped me focus on what mattered and gave me actionable advice.”
Randall, founder of Kelsey

Founder @Kelsey· 35 customers in first 3 months

“After making the classic mistake of building multiple products without validating them first, Kyle made me realize I should talk to potential customers before building. I followed his advice, and within two weeks I already had three people ready to pay for my new product.”
Thijs, founder of Bard

These aren’t course reviews. They’re from advice I gave founders. The same advice this course is built on.

The bigger goal

Build a software business.
Live on your terms.

For more than 10 years, selling my own software has given me something I value more than anything: Freedom. How I spend my time, where I live and what I work on.

It did not happen overnight. This course is about getting paying customers so you can work toward that same independence: a product you own, a way to reach buyers and a life you control.

  • Revenue from something you own

Build income around a product you created, not only the hours you can sell.

  • A repeatable way to reach customers

Learn how to get sales so every launch is not a fresh guess.

  • A life you control

Stay small, go full-time or grow. Choose what you work on and where you do it.

You don't need an audience.

An audience is a useful asset, but it is not a prerequisite for selling software. I built Get Invited without one. The course starts with ways to find people one by one, where they already spend time and where they already show intent.

FAQ

Before you join.

Is this just for SaaS?
No. The principles work for software products, developer tools, apps and other products that can be sold online. Most examples come from software because that is what I have built.
Do I need an existing audience?
No. Audience building is one possible long-term channel, not the starting requirement. You will learn direct ways to find people who already have the problem, even if your follower count is zero.
Do I need a finished product?
No, but you should have a product idea and be able to build it. In fact, customer discovery is often more useful before you spend months polishing a finished product.
Is this about paid ads?
Paid acquisition is covered in context, but it is not the focus. Early products usually need clearer positioning, direct customer conversations and stronger proof before ads make sense.
Will Zero To Paid guarantee I get a customer?
No. No course can guarantee someone will buy your product. Your product, market, pricing and execution still matter. Zero To Paid gives you practical strategies for finding the right people, reaching them and improving your chances of getting that first payment.
When will I get access?
You get immediate access to available lessons with the remaining lessons released as they’re ready each week.
What’s the format?
Video tutorials I recorded myself. There is no AI-generated content. No AI slides, voiceovers or scripts. You get concise lessons you can watch and then apply, plus the templates and real examples that go with them.
How long is the course?
The founding edition is expected to be around 4–5 hours. It is designed to be practical and concise, with new lessons and updates added over time at no extra cost.
What if I'm not happy with the content?
The course has a 30-day action-based guarantee from the date the complete founding edition is released. Complete the course, implement at least two strategies and send a short summary showing what you tried. If you do the work and still do not find the course useful, email support@zerotopaid.io and I will refund you.
Why should I listen to you?
I am a developer who had to learn distribution to make my own products work. Get Invited and Gravity generated $1m+ in net revenue. Get Invited served 21,000 event organisers and processed £3m+. Gravity reached 1,200+ users and £440k+ in total sales. Alertly has 400+ users and is still actively being built.
